Capital Punishment in the United States

On this week’s show, we will be examining the the history of the death penalty, some of the moral ramifications, and if our system of capital punishment has roots of discrimination.

Update and information… We are expanding!

It has been a crazy few weeks for me and things are finally starting to settle down.  But, it has also been a few crazy week for A Community of Voices!

The American Presidency

This week, we are diving into an often overlooked issue that has global implications, The Global Food Crisis.  There are an estimated 925 million people world-wide that do not have enough food to eat.  While the reasons are debatable, the real-life effects cannot be ignored.  Men, women, and children die of starvation everyday.And yet, the Global Food Crisis is typically not on the public’s radar.

We will be joined by Mr. Gawain Kripke, Director of Policy at Oxfam America to dive deep into the issue, addressing what meaning of the food crisis, how it began, and what can be done to solve it.
